FAQ

What does each package include?

Smart Accountant (most comprehensive): a complete accounting department without hiring one — everything in Bookkeeping plus e-invoices and credit/debit notes, monthly close with income statement and balance sheet reports, a monthly cash flow statement, a three-month cash forecast, an actual vs. budget report (where a budget exists), receivables/payables reports and annual financial statements, bank transfers prepared for your approval, VAT returns at no extra charge, and follow-up with your chartered accountant with deadline alerts. Bookkeeping: setting up your chart of accounts and updating it with every new activity or branch, daily entries and electronic archiving, bank reconciliation, payroll and GOSI entries, and customer and supplier statements. Tax Returns: VAT returns only, either on subscription (we prepare and file your return every month or quarter and remind you ahead of each deadline) or one-time for a specific period; it is included with Smart Accountant. You can add services on request, such as a part-time CFO (including the annual budget, financial forecasts and liquidity management), or one-time services such as accounts setup, backlog accounting, and budgets and financial forecasts, and legal advisory and arbitration.

How are the packages priced?

Smart Accountant and Bookkeeping each have a starting price that covers a set number of monthly transactions (an invoice, a bank movement or a voucher); anything above that is charged at the per-transaction rate in your quotation, and every invoice comes with a transactions report. The Tax Returns package is priced per return and costs less per return on subscription than one-time. If your business is also a client of another Intelligent Administration company, you get 15% off the monthly subscription. Request a quote and tell us your business activity and approximate volume, and we will send you an official quotation.

Which accounting system do you work on?

We work on our own accounting system: we set it up on your chart of accounts and migrate your opening balances as part of the accounts setup service, and your data and documents stay archived and available to you.

Who files the VAT and Zakat returns?

VAT return: we prepare it and review it with you, then file it on your behalf through your business account with ZATCA once you give your written approval, and provide you with the filing notice and the payment invoice to be settled from your account. Zakat return: we follow up with your chartered accountant until your statements are approved and the return is filed; the chartered accountant's fees are paid by the client directly. For ZATCA audits and objections, we prepare the responses and documents and your business submits them officially.
